Roblox parental controls include spending notifications and, for eligible linked child accounts, monthly spending limits. These tools help parents notice purchases without checking the Robux balance every day.
They are an extra layer, not a replacement for store passwords, device purchase approval and a clear family rule.
Choose when notifications arrive
From the linked parent dashboard, select the child and open Spending restrictions. Roblox may offer notifications for every transaction or only when spending reaches a chosen amount.
Check that the parent email is verified and able to receive Roblox messages. A notification is not useful if it goes to an old address or a full inbox.
Understand the monthly limit
A spending limit can restrict how much real currency is spent through Roblox during a month. Exact availability and which transactions count can depend on account age, region and purchase route.
Platform stores such as Apple, Google, Xbox or PlayStation can have their own controls. Set those too, because not every payment starts inside the Roblox website.
Review purchases with the child
When a notice arrives, ask what was bought and whether it worked. This catches accidental purchases and teaches the child to read product descriptions before paying.
Do not wait for a large problem before discussing spending. A small agreed budget is easier to follow than a rule created after an unexpected charge.
