Is 99 Nights in the Forest Safe for Kids?

By Laius Entertainment Wednesday, 12 August 2026 2 min read

99 Nights in the Forest is a co-operative survival game. Players collect supplies during the day, protect a camp and face threats after dark while working towards a much longer run.

At the time checked, Roblox labelled its fear and violence as mild. Labels can change after updates, and a mild label does not mean every child will find the atmosphere comfortable.

Fear and survival pressure

Darkness, pursuing creatures and the risk of losing progress create tension. Some children enjoy that pressure; others may be unsettled after play even when the images are not graphic.

Watch a round together if the child is sensitive to horror. The sound design and waiting for something to appear can matter more than a still screenshot.

Long sessions and teamwork

A run can encourage players to continue because the team has built a camp and does not want to lose it. Agree on a stopping point before joining, and make clear that a game team is allowed to continue without the child.

Public teammates may argue when somebody makes a mistake. Communication settings, blocking and reporting still matter in a co-operative game.

Purchases and changing content

Review in-game products and Roblox spending controls. Survival games often sell convenience, which can feel more urgent after a difficult loss.

Check the live Roblox page before deciding. The game is actively updated, so a review written months earlier may miss new enemies, effects or monetisation.
