Roblox connections are accounts the child has added for social features. A linked parent account can help review these relationships and communication settings, although available controls depend on the child's age and region.
An unfamiliar username is not automatically dangerous. It is a reason to ask how the child knows that person and what they do together.
Review the list together
Open the child's connections from the parent controls or account profile. Ask about accounts you do not recognise, especially those sending frequent invitations or trying to communicate outside Roblox.
Avoid demanding that every online-only friend be deleted without discussion. Children may hide future friendships if the review feels like punishment rather than safety.
Know the warning signs
Take action when an account asks for personal information, private images, secrecy, money, passwords or a move to a less supervised app. A large age difference or romantic pressure also needs adult attention.
Save useful evidence, block the account and report the specific behaviour. Serious sexual or real-world threats should be reported beyond the game with appropriate local services.
Adjust who can make contact
Review direct chat, Party, game chat, private servers and who may join the child. These settings control different routes and should be checked separately.
Revisit the settings as the child grows. Giving more independence works better as a planned step than an automatic reaction to a birthday.
