Roblox now uses separate linked parent accounts for parental controls. This lets you manage your child's settings from your own device without signing into their account.
You need your own Roblox account with parent privileges. In most regions, Roblox asks the parent to be age checked as 18 or older. The check may use facial age estimation, a government-issued ID or a credit card, depending on what Roblox offers to the account.
Do not share one parent login between several adults. Roblox allows multiple parents to link their own accounts to the same child.
The available controls depend on the child's age and region. They can include content maturity, allowed or blocked experiences, communication, private servers, screen time and spending. The parent dashboard can also show activity such as screen time and on-platform connections.
Review the settings after linking rather than assuming the defaults match your family. It is also worth checking them again as the child gets older, because available features change with age.
Unlinking removes your ability to approve actions and manage that child's parental controls. It does not delete either Roblox account, but you should check the child's settings before removing the link.
